Three CISD elementary campuses — Canyon Ranch, Denton Creek and Pinkerton — have been recognized for improving their attendance from the first six weeks of last school year to the first six weeks of this school year. Each school received $720 for their general fund as part of the district’s Attendance Matters incentive program, which rewards schools for boosting attendance. At the secondary level, CHS9 improved its attendance to 98.2 percent, and CMS West achieved a 97.59 percent attendance rate, both increases over the first six weeks of the last school year. CISD continues to prioritize attendance and its impact on district funding through its Attendance Matters campaign, and we thank our families for their partnership in making attendance a priority.
