Staff / Student Recognitions
Teacher of the Year
The district recognizes the excellence in teaching that exists in every Coppell school through participation in the "Teacher of the Year" awards program. This program, aligned with the state and national level programs, honors outstanding public educators and is coordinated by the Department of Student and Staff Services.
SuperTeacher
The Coppell ISD educator recognition program called "SuperTeachers" acknowledges campus educators as designers of engaging and innovative learning experiences that ignite the interests of learners. CISD wants to highlight educators whose learning environments, learning designs, curriculum implementation and assessments model the CISD Learning Framework to transform teaching and learning.
Members of the CISD staff have the opportunity to nominate educators using supporting evidence that may include, but is not limited to, photos, videos and/or written descriptions of the work. Nominations will be accepted online throughout the year, and those selected during the three nomination windows will be recognized in a variety of ways including a special lunch with the superintendent.
Great Employees Matter
The internal Employee Recognition Program (GEM: Great Employees Matter) seeks to recognize outstanding employees who serve the mission of the district in a manner that exceeds job/salary expectations...those who go "above and beyond the call of duty." CISD employees are nominated by their peers and, two times per school year, the top-10 are recognized before the Board of Trustees.

Distinguished Alumni Award
Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes individuals who have attended Coppell High School (including those from Victory Place @ Coppell) or New Tech High @ Coppell, are outstanding leaders in their field and committed to service within their communities.
Board of Trustees Recognition
CISD students and staff enjoy many accomplishments during the year and the Board of Trustees purposefully acknowledges those students and staff members, who achieve at the state level and above, at the opening of each monthly board meeting.
District Highlights
Starting Fall 2017, each Regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees will begin with a new student/staff feature, “District Highlights,” recognizing accomplishments submitted from across Coppell ISD. This addition to the agenda affords the Board an opportunity to extend their acknowledgement of accomplishments that are noteworthy, but may not qualify for in-person recognition. The name of the person and a brief description of their accomplishment will be highlighted by the superintendent for the viewing audience, and in a PowerPoint slide presentation for those attending the meeting in-person.
CISD Night at the Ballpark
This annual event recognizes student citizenship and good character traits as well as recognition of CISD's Campus Teachers of the Year during a Texas Rangers baseball game in the spring. The entire school community is invited to attend at a discounted rate and a portion of the proceeds are donated (by the Texas Rangers) to the Coppell Education Foundation for innovative teaching grants.
