The Coppell ISD Child Nutrition Department provides quality meals to students while also balancing nutrition requirements with student preferences and financial obligations. The school nutrition program is self-sufficient, not relying on the general school district budget, freeing monies for academic programs and teacher salaries.

Student Meal Charging Policy
Parents/Guardians shall monitor their student’s school meal account to ensure that they always have a positive balance. In the event that a student does not have a positive balance, the student may charge up to $15 or approximately 5 meals. Only reimbursable meals may be charged. A la carte items such as snacks or extra entrees may not be charged. Communication about a negative meal balance will be sent to parents/guardians. Students who have a negative balance of $15 or more will be offered a courtesy meal that will be charged to the student’s account.
Parents/Guardians are encouraged to sign up to monitor and manage their student’s meal account through myschoolbucks.com website.
Benefits include:
• Low-balance email alerts
• Monitor account balances
• View meal transactions
• Set up automatic payments
• Pay online with a small convenience fee
• Myschoolbucks has a free mobile app for parents and guardians
Additionally, cash or check payments are accepted at the school cafeteria.
Automatic notifications will be sent through email, phone calls and text messages to parents and guardians when student account balances are negative. Also, parents can receive email alerts based on the low balance threshold selected through MySchoolBucks.
Account Restrictions
Parents may specify which foods students may or may not have by completing our "Meal Account Restriction Form" located at the bottom of this page. Please complete this form and return to your school cafeteria manager for changes to be added to their lunch account. Restrictions follow students from year to year and school to school. If you wish to remove a restriction, please contact your school cafeteria manager.
**Note: This does not apply to food allergies. If your student has a life-threatening allergy, please contact your school nurse.
