Public Hearing on State Financial Accountability Rating, FIRST 

During the Regular Board Meeting, the CISD Board of Trustees held a Public Hearing on Coppell ISD’s state accountability rating, FIRST. Coppell ISD has earned the highest financial rating possible for its 2020-2021 financial accountability from the Texas Education Agency (TEA). In its findings, the TEA announced CISD had received both an “A” Superior Rating and a “94” Score in the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) ratings. The district has received a “Superior” rating since 2002.

Board Awards
CISD Trustees recognized Richard J. Lee Elementary for being selected as an Apple Distinguished School. Trustees also recognized CHS Debate Students Anushree De, Sahith Mocharla and Umang Vinayaka for being selected for the Team Texas Debate Team.

Cindy Powell (Cooperative Strategies), with support from Dr. Dennis Womack (Chief Operations Officer) and Angela Brown (Chief Communications Officer) shared an update on the Bond Steering Committee. 

ESSER Funds Update
Robyn Webb (Director of Federal Programs) and Mary Kemper (Executive Director for Instructional Leadership) shared an update on ESSER funding and summer school results.
