Public Hearing on Proposed Budget and Tax Rate
Prior to the Regular Board Meeting, the CISD Board of Trustees held a Public Hearing on the Proposed Budget and Tax Rate for 2022-2023. 

• Trustees approved the 2022-2023 Resolution to Adopt the Budget for the General Fund, Food Services and Debt Services; 

• The Board approved a Resolution Adopting the 2022-2023 Tax Rate; 

• Trustees approved the Coppell ISD Board of Trustees Charge to the 2023 Bond Steering Committee;

• The Board approved a Resolution committing General Fund Balance; 

• Trustees approved the allocation of the 2016 Bond savings to annual allotments; 

• The Board approved the adoption of the 2022-2023 District Improvement Plan; 

• Trustees approved the interlocal agreement with the City of Coppell for School Resource Officers; 

• The Board approved the Superintendent or his designee to negotiate, finalize, and sign an updated Agreement with the Dallas County Sheriff's Department for the placement of two sheriff's deputies at Coppell Middle School West, Canyon Ranch Elementary, Lee Elementary and Valley Ranch Elementary for the 2022-2023 school year; 

• Trustees approved delegating authority to the superintendent to obligate the school district under TEC §11.1511(c)(4) solely for the purpose of obligating the district under TEC §48.257 and TEC, Chapter 49, Subchapters A and D, and the rules adopted by the commissioner of education as authorized under TEC §49.006.  This includes approval of the Agreement for the Purchase of Attendance Credit; 

• The Board approved the July 2022 Financials; 

• Trustees approved the Purchasing Cooperative Fees paid by Coppell ISD; 

• The Board approved the Dallas and Plano Regional Day School Program for the Deaf Shared Services Arrangement Agreements; and

• Trustees approved the TEA Foreign Exchange Student Waiver.

Board Awards
CISD Trustees recognized the District Teachers of the Year Natalie Cuccia, from Pinkerton Elementary, and Anthony Hufford, from New Tech High @ Coppell.  Trustee Manish Sethi was recognized for completing the Leadership TASB program and earning his Master Trustee designation.

Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Angie Brooks, Coordinator of Counseling Anne Lehew, Executive Director of Stephen McGilvray and Chief Operations Officer shared an update on Visioning and the Future Bond.

Chief Operations Officer Dr. Dennis Womack shared an update on Bond projects.
