Seven Class of 2024 Graduates Earn National Merit College-Sponsored Scholarships

Seven Class of 2024 CHS graduates received National Merit® College-Sponsored Scholarships. These students are part of the record-breaking 49 National Merit Semifinalists and 45 Finalists from the Class of 2024. These CHS scholarship recipients are:

  1. Sathvik Adusumilli: Law — National Merit Indiana University Bloomington Scholarship

  2. Sua Cho: Academia — National Merit Boston University Scholarship

  3. Ryan Gao: Computer Science — National Merit University of Texas at Dallas Scholarship

  4. John Jericko John Veslin: Computer Science — National Merit University of Texas at Dallas Scholarship

  5. Spencer Paulsen: Accounting — National Merit Brigham Young University Scholarship

  6. Meet Shah: Computer Science — National Merit University of Texas at Dallas Scholarship

  7. Brian Zhong: Aerospace Engineering — National Merit Texas A&M University Scholarship

Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the Finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program who will attend their institution. College-sponsored awards provide scholarships for up to four years of undergraduate study at the institution financing the scholarship.
