National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society, NJHS, is an organization that strives to give practical meaning to society’s goals of scholarship, leadership, service, character and citizenship.

Qualifications to become an NJHS member

Seventh or eighth graders must have an average of 95 or higher in all core classes by the end of the 3rd nine weeks to be invited to apply for membership.

An application must be completed and returned by the cutoff date/time noted on the letter of invitation.

A committee of judges will review the applications and will select the most qualified candidates based on leadership, character, citizenship and scholarship.

Members are required to attend planning and organizational meetings, to participate in various service projects and to be a positive example.
