Twenty student members from the Coppell High School Technology Student Association (TSA) recently attended the 2024 TSA National Conference, held from June 26-30 in Orlando. These talented students competed in various events against fierce competitors from across the United States, Germany, South Korea and American Samoa. Under the leadership of teacher advisers Nicholas Brown and Grant Garner, TSA students achieved top finishes in the competition as follows:
HS Coding: Dwij Mehta and Andrew Shi – 1st Place (TSA National HS Coding Champions)
HS Transportation Modeling: Aaren George – 1st Place (TSA National HS Transportation Modeling Champion)
HS Board Game Design: Manoj Kumar, Vedik Ranabothu and Suvan Sarveswaran – 4th Place in the Nation
HS Geospatial Technology: Aaren George and Abhiram Kanamariapudi – 8th Place in the Nation
HS TEAMS Interview Presentation: Abhiram Kanamariapudi, Manoj Kumar, Vedik Ranabothu and Suvan Sarveswaran – Top 10 National Finalists
HS Biotechnology Design: Ayusha Baral and Annabeth Hook – Top 12 National Semifinalists
HS Virtual Reality Visualization: Sai Bachu, Sivanth Bodipati, Aryan Kumar and Hriday Patel – Top 12 National Semifinalists
Other national participants included Ajay Anandan, Aniruddha Kumar, Michael Liu, Samay Singh, Alanna Sun, Tokhir Umarov and Surya Vijay. They competed in a range of events including HS Chapter Team, HS Flight Endurance, HS Future Technology and Engineering Teacher, HS Manufacturing Prototype, HS On Demand Video, HS Photographic Technology, HS Software Development, HS Technology Bowl, HS Technology Problem Solving, HS Video Game Design and HS Webmaster.
