Valley Ranch Elementary 5th graders were “blown away” on Nov. 8 when WFAA Channel 8 Meteorologist Mariel Ruiz delivered an exciting "Weatherminds" presentation. Ruiz shared her journey in meteorology, the science behind weather patterns, and potential careers in the field, sparking curiosity and fascination among the students. Her visit gave these young weather watchers a glimpse into the world of forecasting and may have inspired a future meteorologist or two.
