The CMS East Band is playing a winning tune on the national stage, as both the Honor Winds and Symphonic Band have been named National Winners in the Foundation for Music Education's prestigious Mark of Excellence and Citation of Excellence competition. Out of more than 450 entries from 40 states, CMS East's bands rose to the top in the Class AA category, earning recognition as one of the best middle school band programs in the country. Congratulations to the talented 2023-2024 Honor Winds and Symphonic Band members and their directors Steve McGrew and Katherine Rivera for their outstanding achievement!
