Mockingbird Elementary 4th grader Ryaansh Chawla has calculated his way to success as he has been selected as one of just 61 students in Texas to join the prestigious National Math Stars program, following a rigorous application and testing process that saw greater than 1,300 applicants. On average, Stars scored above 99th percentile on both the quantitative and nonverbal sections of the Cognitive Abilities Test. This remarkable achievement opens doors for Chawla to receive extensive support throughout his educational journey, including mathematics development, financial assistance, college and career advising and more, all the way through high school. National Math Stars is a fully funded, ten-year program — from selection to high school graduation — dedicated to nurturing mathematically gifted students, investing more than $100,000 in each participant to ensure they excel in mathematics, science and technology. Chawla’s selection is a testament to his extraordinary mathematical talents, and we look forward to seeing the sum of his success in the years to come.
