Dr. Yanet Cardoza is the new principal of Denton Creek Elementary. Dr. Cardoza has served most recently as a Language Acquisition Specialist in Coppell ISD since 2023. Dr. Cardoza has previously served as a principal, assistant principal and district administrator in surrounding districts. Her experience includes serving as a principal at a Dual Language campus and as a bilingual teacher.
“Dr. Cardoza is a collaborator, innovator, data-driven and student-centered decision maker, ” said CISD Superintendent Dr. Brad Hunt. “She has a passion for serving all students including bilingual and ESL learners and students of different ethnic backgrounds and achievement levels.”
Dr. Cardoza will be introduced as the new Denton Creek Elementary principal at the Monday, July 22 Board Meeting, which will take place in the LGI Room of CMS West at 6 p.m. We invite you to attend this meeting to welcome Yanet Cardoza to his new role at Denton Creek. There will be a short reception following her introduction as principal.
She replaces Chris Gollner, who is the new principal at CMS North.
