Dear CISD Community,
We were made aware yesterday that Dallas College is changing its Spring Break to March 10 to March 14. This means that Dallas College’s Spring Break no longer aligns with CISD’s Spring Break, which is March 17 to March 24.
This change affects our high school students who take Dual Credit courses with Dallas College, as our Spring Breaks are no longer at the same time. We have spoken with Dallas College, who has assured us that they have a plan to support their Dual Credit students regardless of the week their school district has for Spring Break and student learning will not be compromised due to this change.
At this time, CISD has not made any changes to our Spring Break. The CISD Board of Trustees are set to discuss this topic at the Monday, July 22 Board Meeting, which will take place at 6 p.m. in the Large Group Instruction (LGI) room at CMS West, located at 2701 Ranch Trail Drive in Cypress Waters.
We are asking our community to share input on Spring Break dates and any other calendar feedback by emailing input@coppellisd.com by 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 18.
