Honor Courses
Honors courses are designed to equip all middle school and high school students with the skills, habits of mind, and knowledge that they need to succeed in college or career.
Honors courses emphasize skill development in the following areas: Critical Reading,Writing, Analysis and Evaluation, and Independent Learning.
Honors courses begin in middle school where all core courses (Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies) are offered to all learners.
Honors courses are offered at Coppell High School, Coppell High School Ninth Grade Campus, and New Tech High @ Coppell as well. Learners may also choose to participate in Advanced Placement (AP) courses at all three of those campuses. Coppell High School offers International Baccalaureate (IB) courses and New Tech High @ Coppell designs learning experiences almost exclusively through a Project-Based Learning (PBL) lens.
Home-Schooled Students
Home-Schooled students eligible to attend school in the Coppell Independent School District can participate in the administration of the PSAT/NMSQT or an advanced placement test offered by the district.
