Cottonwood Creek Elementary School Resource Officer Jim “J.T.” Turner drove around the school’s neighborhood to check on his kids on Jan. 9 and ended up in a snowball fight with them.
As CISD was closed Thursday, Jan. 9 and Friday, Jan. 10 due to winter weather, the district will use built-in extra instructional minutes to make up for these days. Therefore, Monday, Feb. 17 and Monday, April 21 remain Bad Weather Day holidays for the district. These dates remain available should the district need to use them in the future due to possible weather closings.
