Winners Headed to State Competition, Special Awards Announced

On Feb. 15, CISD middle and high school students competed at the Regional Science and Engineering Fair held at Fair Park. Several CISD students placed in the top three and earned advancement to the Texas Science and Engineering Fair at Texas A&M, scheduled for March 28–30. Students also received special award recognitions. Two middle school projects also qualified for the prestigious Thermo Fisher Junior Innovators Challenge — the highest level for middle schoolers in the nation — based on their 1st place wins.

All 1st–3rd place winners are invited to a special awards banquet at SMU in April, where they will be recognized with certificates, prize money and may also receive additional monetary special awards. Below is a list of CISD winners organized by school:

CMS East
