UIL Academic Team

 UIL A+ Academics offers 20+ academics contests for  6th-8th grade, ranging from speech events, science, art, to maps, graphs and charts. 

A+ Academics challenges our learners to think creatively and critically, and demonstrate a mastery of their favorite subject. 

Our regional contest is held in the spring semester, with sign ups occurring during November/December.  Tryouts are in January/February, with practices running up until the contest. (dates may be adjusted once the Spring Semester competition date is determined). 

 Learners will be notified on when sign-ups to try out will begin. 

Each Learner must try out for their event on the date given by the event coach. Practices and teams are determined by each individual event coach. Teams typically have 3 Learners per grade per event.
