    KCBY-TV and The Sidekick Newspaper Earn Top Honors at National Convention

     

    Coppell High School’s KCBY-TV Station and The Sidekick Newspaper placed in the top-10 at the National High School Journalism Convention held in Indianapolis on Nov. 10-13, 2016.

     

    KCBY-TV was placed fifth among the Broadcast Programs while The Sidekick was ranked ninth in the Newspaper Tabloid 17 or More Pages category.

     

    The National High School Journalism Convention is a semiannual gathering of high school journalists and advisers co-sponsored by the Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association. With typical attendance of more than 4,000 delegates, the JEA/NSPA convention is the largest gathering of student journalists in the country.
